HMS SHAVINGTON. It's last job was as an RNR vessel. Thought I'd be the first into the RNR forum. Needs a damn good dhoby so it does.

Steve, does HMS Shavington have a figurehead? along the lines of the song, "a nude in bed was the figure head"

I seem to remember that that it did have a figurehead once but as I said I will check up for you Oppo.

But im not being the dhobi waller AGAIN!!
Spent time on HMS Carron (river class fleet minesweeper) but that was when they still did degousing. And wrens werent meant to go to sea. But that my luvver is another story.
Now i wonder what ever happened to that lovely young matelot
