Well it looks like clive woodward may be leaving
English rugby and moving over too football.

Given his dramatic success with the rugby team do you think he
could make it?. Perhaps even england manager a few years later?.

Or is he heading for disaster (possibly at southampton)

Personally im not convinced. I think apart from the differences in
the game, he will be dealing with entirely different types of people
in his players...

A sad day for English rugby

The man is a genius as far as coaching goes he took a not so good England side and took them to the world cup, and won!!!

Good luck to him in his next venture as he has completed everything there is to complete in professional rugby.

I personally feel it is a bad move. The man is a serious legend in English Rugby and even though he has won the world cup he could still continue to progress england further.

Football is an entirely differant game and he may be good at coaching rugby but he could crash and burn at football.

But i suppose all will be revealed in the next year.

Well in the england set up for rugby he was hands off, he organised
specialists for..just about everything. Imho it was his thoroughness
and organisational ability that paid dividents.

So in theory he could bring hat to football?

Biggest problem is, will he be able to command the respect and total commitment he gets from his rugby players?

Who is taking over england as the new manager?

If it does not work out for him in football i hope he will go back to rugby.
