Can anyone please tell me the exact way to do each exercise you will get on the POC etc. Ie Press-ups, sit-ups, Chin-ups, burpees and anyother exercises.
I am hoping to complete the POC at the start of next year and am starting learning and training for it Any help or advice from anyone whos done it or got friends that have done it would be greatly appreciated by not only myself but anyone else thinking of the POC
Anything i learn after doing it will be quickly posted up here for anyone interested.

Hello Chap,

Go to http://www.idtroyalnavy.mod.uk/coursesB ... talogID=13

There is a link on there to "Training For The Royal Marines - Physical Fitness Standards" click that however you will need Adobe Acrobat reader to view it. In case you havent got it, you can download that at www.adobe.co.uk

Let me know how you get on.

I took a look at the link as well and should point out that the information is different to whatothers have posted on here before. A search will bring up the posts but I would also use www.mfat.co.uk and follow the links on the left to the RM articles and then the fitness schedules.

Differences I spotted straight away were:

- Situps: hands SHOULD NOT be clasped behind head, but touching your head behind the ears

- Situps: there was no mention of the fact that that your elbows have to touch your knees on the way up and the floor on the way down

- Pressups: Previous posts from people who have been to CTCRM have commented that your partners fist is placed underneath you and you only go down as as far as your chest touching his fist, NOT all the way to the floor

And most worryingly for me....

Age for POC: I've been told that its no older than 26 years when you start....I would be 26 if I started Sept 2005!!! Please let this be wrong!!!! :(
