Hi folks, passed my PGAC with flying colours! It turned out to be a great laugh! Found it surprisingly, quite easy. Anyway just wondered if anyone from the forum has also got their TG course start date on the 18th of july?

Im just waiting for a PGAC date, they gave me the 29th June but i cant get the time off work so hopefully i can go for my PGAC early july.

COuld you please answer a couple of questions?

When doing the required push ups/sit ups do they stop you when you've hit the target amount or do you keep going for the full minute?

Do they stop the bleep test when you get to the 9.10 level required?

Do you do an assult course, if so how was it?

Cheers guys, mike on the press ups and sit ups they make you stop at the required amount, just like the bleep test, they make everyone stop at level 9.1, the assault course isn't part of the pgac mate unfortunately so you don't get to go on it. If you've got any more questions, i'd be more then pleased to help you out.

Also, what were the swimming tests like and what are the press up and sit up requirements?

Hi tyke, the swimming test was just a lap around the outside edge of the pool, swimming in pairs. Nothing to worry about at all, unless you can't swim. Yes i did have to do the bergan run (tab), it's only a mile and a half but feels longer when your doing it, my advise is get up near the front as its much easier and you get more rest as you have to keep stopping for the others at the back to catch up. You only have to do 10 press ups and 25 sit ups within a minute.
