I get the impression from some of the comments on this forum that there are a number of Agnostics and Athiests on board. What I want to know from the members is how many of them believe in God. It would be very interesting to know.

I class myself as an agnostic atheist, but was intrigued to read the other day that Buddhists are agnostic. Which surprised me somewhat.
Being an agnostic atheist covers all my bases. 8)

I don't believe in god at all in any way, shape or form.

I'm fascinated with other people's religious beliefs though, and what makes them believe what they do.

Respect other people's beliefs 110% as long as it isn't rammed down my throat. I've come across a lot of believers who feel that it is their sole purpose to convert us non-believers to their way of thinking. You'd have more chance trying to get me to believe that Goldilocks and the Three Bears was a true story, I'm afraid.

I dont believe in god, and I find it strange in todays society that religion still plays such a big role in the way people think...

I would have to say I believe in god, not sure which religions interpretation of s/he though.I reckon there's one god and many diff. people have interpreted it in diff. ways, hence all the religions.

I believe in God, the big bang theory makes no sense to me.

After alot of the killing and terrible things that happen in a world alot of people don't believe in god and say things like "If he existed how could he let them do this??"

God gave us the freedom of choice, and I think the real question is then how can you believe in people when such things happen.

I believe in what I believe in and leave others to select what they believe in and as long they don't knock on my door and tell me what they think thats OK. But I must admit to being pissed off that the mormons or JWs won't come near my door, they dont seem to want accept my theories to their annoying questions. Its all right them saying the end of the world is nigh but if they cant supply the date how can I abuse my credit cards and a few other things

Now whilst I have done my fair share of miracles of turning wine into piss I would have liked to have had an oppo like JC who could do the opposite

If you need to hang your hat on a belief peg, try Zen Buddism. No god(notice the small G),no bibles,no churches,no religious uniforms,no religious rank system.......just you and your responsabilities in the way you conduct yourself. If you do good deeds do'nt expect 'heaven points',if you do bad deeds do something about it .The answeres are in you .Zen is a very internal belief system. You'll be suprised how close it is to what you've been trying to find.....Yourself.It allows you to make mistakes without all the layers of guilt that religion thrives on for its captive audience.Check it out.
