from navy to sas

Hey guys im going to the navy on june 21st as an aircraft technician. I was wondering wether I can apply to the the sas after three years training even though i would have signed up for 22. please answer this for me. thanks

You can do it but you would be at a serious disadvantage from day one. Its not just about fitness, navigation on foot, basic infantry skills, are area's that you would find difficult to get upto speed on. If your main aim is to try for SF take the advice above.

Thanks guys. But all I really needed to know was if I could have the opportunity. I want to be an aircraft technician in the navy and hopefully decide to stay as one, but you know its always nice to know that if I wanted to could have the opportunity to try for the sas. would that be possible

Thanks for that. I think u can understand me though because its always good to know that u got the opportunity to do something like that if you want to in it.

There are plenty of people from all kinds of Army trades in the SAS - it has very little relevance once your in the Regt, unless your RE Combat Engineer or Signals.
