What is it like in the RAF, as an Officer?

What kind of accomodation do you get?

What is the job of a provost/security like?

Is it non stop action?

Is it anything like police work?

Whats it like actually being an Officer?

Sorry so many questions i just am new and cant wait to be the some sort of Police role when i turn 18!!

Thanx Very Much,

Matt

From my observations of the RAF:

What is it like in the RAF, as an Officer? - Nice blue uniform, cushy number.

What kind of accomodation do you get? - lovely

What is the job of a provost/security like? - don't know

Is it non stop action? - doubt it

Is it anything like police work? - nope

Whats it like actually being an Officer? Rather good me thinks

My limited experience of 'snowdrops' is that it is not comparable with being a Police officer in civvy street. The snowdrops I have met cruise around in rather nice Range Rovers and don't get half the hassle of their civillian counterparts. Maybe I just have a 'down' on the RAF Police.

I agree Contractor, they have a pretty easy time of it. My friend did his work experience with snowdrops at RAF Leeming. He said he did alot of cruising around and drinking tea at Her Majesty's expense!

I've had one or two run in's with snowdrops - and they're 10 times friendlier than redcaps!!!!

I don't want to pass comment on officers, instead i'll quote a famous song

"Balls to the officers, officers, officers...."

Nuff said!

He's not wrong you know. I never met a bigger bunch of back stabbers in all my life, in or out of the mob. The OR's start off as acting Cpl's and from day one it's a race to get to substansive and beyond.

If you like the NCP idea or wandering around at night rattling doors to see if they are locked then go for it, otherwise think again matey.
