I thought Bravo Two Zero was a decent gulf war 1 movie, Sean Bean is one of my favorite actors. I always thought a movie should be made about the Falklands the only one i have seen was a doc.

The BBC made a film/play called "An ungentmanly act" a fair few years ago. All about the invasion. Very good it was to stared Bob Peck as the OC.
It might be on video but dont quote me on that.

I have to say that Top Gun did briefly inspire me to become a naval aviator but then having seen Hot Shots 1 and 2 the penalty of not having 20-20 vision is all to clear. (excuse the pun).

What was everyone’s opinion of apocalypse now??? I personally really liked it, maybe for the sound track more than anything, and the colonel
I also thought the thin red line was a good film, but then again so was we were soldiers, and wind talkers...

Apocalypse now was brilliant, maybe not as a serious war film but a good flick none the less. I could never get into We Were Soldiers, too much emphasice on the religious side of it, not being religious I can't empathize (word a day dictionary lol ) with it.
Has anyone heard the rumours about them making a new Band of Brothers set in the pacific?
