Looking To Join

Im 18 years old 19 in january im pretty fit a bit worried about the interview i put in my application form on friday so im expecting a phone call one day this week, what exaclty happens do i get an interview what happens at this interview...

I looked up the royal navy webiste it didnt give me any information on what happens once my appy is sent and im so worried about failing on the interview...

Also is anyone else around here from Aberdeen ? That has went through the army office on belmont street can you tell me how it goes...

Hello, after they receive your application form, you'll first do the standard recruit tests on which there is plenty of information here; only after passing that do you go onto the interview and medical. They will send you an information book about the recruit test and interview along with the letter giving you a date for the test so you will have time to prepare before both :).

Thanks for info now is this standards recruit test, its easy moderate hard what does it entail ?

All this will be explained in the info booklet which the AFCO will give to you.

But don't worry, the standard recruit test is easy. Most people breeze it.

Sigh, still no word yet... should i go in past the recruitment centre and see if everything is ok or just hush up and wait ?

They will get back to you, though if you're woried I doubt it'll do any harm to ask them. The only thing to remember is that the bloke you talk to may not be the one who took your form, and I doubt their database thingy will have much more than for example "being processed," "under review," or maybe "applicant is an idiot, form used as emergency toilet paper" though I'm sure that doesn't apply to you :).

But it would at least make sure the form hasn't been lost in the post :).
