That's about it really. I did the thing in a daze and only appreciated the pace when I had a crack at the charity yomp earlier this year. We walked it at a brisk pace but I realised at the halfway point we would have already finished (carrying much more weight - at least some of us who are off their fighting weight now  - and carrying injuries and the ravages of 30 weeks of hell on earth). I found it fairly easy in training compared to some of the other tests (and much easier than some of the beastings) and was a bit shocked having a go years later. By the time you get to it though - it's the last test and nothing will stop you.

Depends on weather your ahead or behind time at the first few RV's

If your pace is good your training team will ease up.
If your behind, then de prepared to start blowing out your hoop!

Just got to remember its an eight hour event, not a sprint for the finish

Hmmm Well you have to do both,

Royal Marines Commandos have 8 Hours and YO's have 7hrs

You walk up the hills run down the hills, walk over the baby's heads and run where the ground under foot in stable.

Does that answer your question?
