What r the raf regiment soldiers like. R they nething like army infantry men?? I live near cattrick one of the biggest army infantry bases in europe and when they come into darlo on a night they are all pure nob heads walking round like they own the place. Army regiments r always full of dicks r the raf regiment like this or r they more dicaplined???

Theres lots of threads about the RAF regiment in these RAF forum area so have a quick scroll down or use search.

The RAF regiment are the RAF's ground force and specialise in defending vital ground in and around airfields. They have a para-trained sqn who work on more offensive roles (some of the Rockapes who visit may be able to elighten you!)

I met a few and had a few of them teach me fieldcraft when i was in the ATC, they seemed like decent people. They are considered a frontline role so like infantry cant accept women.

As you said most squaddies are considered dickheads in most of the public's opinion when they are out and about in town but thats pretty much all the armed forces if your easly offended.

Many people are drawn to frontline forces outside of the army as the army has a bad reputation for illtreatment of soldiers compared to that of the RAF (rockapes) and the navy (Bootnecks)...its pretty contraversial but thats the way i see it.

Many of the people on this site are die-hard Royal marines (or Ex royals) people who seem to think any other role in HM's Forces is useless (and vice versa with all the other forces (paras, rockapes, infantrymen) and so on.
.....so only listien to the rockapes if your thinking of joining em!
