Guess who's back ??

Post by Jonah »

Well that has severely put a dent in my self esteem, i get through the first week of admin and bulls**t and the emotions that go with it, only to be medically discharged at the start of week 2 with a f**ked back  .

It's not a permanent problem, once i get physio/chiropractor treatment and rest my back for a year or so, i can go back and start again, but i'm feelin rather low at the moment so if you've got any pick-me-ups i'd appreciate it...

I'm sittin upstairs in puzzle palace on the computer killin some time waitin to get on the train home.

Thanks fellas.
Waiting around until i can go back to Lympstone.

Sorry to hear that Jonah. Was looking forward to
meeting up in training. Hope you can overcome
the problem and get back into the swing of things quickly.
I can imagine that you feel pretty shit at the moment but
buck up keep your mind focused on the reasons for beginning
RCT training and in no time at all you will be going through the
process again.
Hope to see you around on the forum regularly this will help you
keep motivation up......

Sorry to hear this Foxy

Jonah unlucky mate but don't worry about it, look at it this way you get to chat to us for a bit longer.

You have to rest your back for a year, well you must have done some serious damage to it. So you want ideas for pick me up's, my advice go to your local surround yourself with your mates and get pissed like a fart.

Sorry to hear that, mate. As Jon said, why didn't you get put into Hunter Coy?

I met a guy who had spent nine months (and counting) there because he had a hernia.

Jonah, july 31st 2000, i fell off the roof,16:00hrs, I laid on the deck for about 15 minutes, moving my fingers and toes, making sure that everything worked. I got up, and for the next hour, drank as many fluids as i could,(think the shock had set in)I`d also broken some ribs, ( i knew that at the time because of the clicking) an hour and 15 minutes later, stiff as F*"K, i got back on the roof, and finished the job off, coming off the roof at 22:30 hours, eventually getting indoors at about 23:00, i was in that much pain, i scrubbed round the shower,(yes a right crabby barstool) and eventually got into bed about 23:20, I was a stiff as a board, and hardly slept a wink, getting up in the morning i was even stiffer, but was at work for the usual time. I do the commando challenge and the yomp, i still run and do as much phys as possible, all you got to remember mate, is, its only PAIN, and there is always someone worse off than yourself. Do not feel sorry for yourself, get your arse in gear, and get back to CTC, and show them what your made of. Enough said, time for a beer.

The nice chaps at CTC said i could go into hunter but if i came out and sought civvy help, the process would move along quicker...
It felt hard watching my troop coming back in off their first ex, carrying bergans etc, while i was sitting in my civvies ready to go...
Hope my next troop are as sound as them guys.

Fodd , it's andy here who you used to play hockey with!
