Had a guy in my troop who was ex-TA and kept calling yomping 'tabbing', a hot wet 'a brew', and scran was called 'skof' - He single-handedly managed to p*ss the whole training team off with his perce-slang and received regular beastings to encourage adoption of 'The Royal Way'

I'm going to join the TA for a bit before I go to the Royals so I get a bit of practice in and it's local. Do you think they'll be a bit miffed if I keep asking if we're going for a yomp after scran and if we'll get a wet at the end?

NOOOOOO!
Where about in the UK are you Aldo ? You may have to travel a few miles extra but do consider the RMR before joining Perce - It will stand stand you in better stead for joining CTC as a regular.
Who knows, you may do as I did and join the RMR with a view to going regular and decide that you actually like the best of both worlds

and continue doing that

Thought I might get that reaction lol.
I'm in middlesbrough and don't drive yet so it would be to difficult to get to the RMR unless you know of one closer than Newcastle. I shouldn't be there for long anyway because I'm getting over a lower back injury and just want to be doing somthing productive while I get back into shape.
