Age limit for Sandhurst??

Can anyone clarify the upper age limit of a potential officer wanting to join Sandhurst. I know the website and info states it as being 29 upon entry, but is this realistic?? Will age go against you?

I am curious as I am in my 27th year on this earth and after graduating from Uni went straight into employment working for the MoD. Always had the urge to join the Armed forces, and after finding life in civvy street unfulfilling, non-challenging and frankly boring, would like to pursue a career in the forces.

Any info/advice would be much appreciated.

Yes mate, it is now 29

I know one guy who was 29 at Sandbags and is now a 30 year old subby!

Another guy was 27 at start. It is old but with the new career scheme ROCC or whatever it now is it doesn't make a great deal of difference.

I just passed my RCB-Briefing today and there were some blokes onboard who were 26, some others looked in their late 20s, didnt find out for sure though.

Im only just 19 and I passed the briefing (though not the mainboard yet) so... So long as youre fit (some of the older blokes onboard sagged in the 500m run - you really have to be a regular jogger).

Hammond,

What time did you get in the 500m run? I have my RCB brief in November but I want to do well in the 500m run and make an impression, so i'm working on times now. What did the first guy get, and the last guy get do you know?
