I have just failed the entrance test because I did not finish/pass the english section.
My marks in all the other sections were very good.
Where can I get help in order to resit and pass?
Are there any books or websites that I could visit?
I have been told I can resit in 6 months.
Help! I really want to join, I am gutted!

So you still have your GCSE's to come? I presume you have to do English. Why not explain to your English Teacher what the test was like and ask so some tips or exercises? Six months is nothing in the grand scheme of things and it will give you time to work on your fitness.

Got the following from waytolearn.co.uk
Basic skills
Do you want to learn but feel your reading, writing and maths isn’t very good? Well, you could go on a free course to improve your skills. By calling 0800 100 900 you can find out about free courses in your area, and you will also get a video which shows how other people have improved their skills through these courses.
Alternatively, you could click on this
Step by step guide to getting on a course.
The
BBC site also has factsheets, games and activities to help you improve your reading, writing and maths
Hope it is of some use fella

Not the most technological answer but I suggest you read a few lengthy books.
Nothing better for you 'word power' and 'association' than reading.

Go bother your IT teacher to get some software installed to help, there is plenty out there. Each school as a special needs class usually during and after school which will also help find specific problems. Be happy your allowed to sit it in 6 months i know someone who had to wait 3 years or join the navy,he decided to join the navy.

My suggestions are The Making of a Royal Marines Commando - Nigel Foster & First Into Action - Duncan Falconer
