does the parachute regiment do freefall or static lin jumps. #

NORMAL PARAS LIKE THE 1,2, AND 3RD BATTALIONS DO STATIC LINE .BUT IN THE PATHFINDERS THEY DO FREEFALLIN FROM ABOUT 30,000 FEET!!!!!!!!!!!

With all the kit you carry you would not have the time to play around with a rip cord when they are chucking you fromm between 600 and 800 feet.
When we were practiceing for one jump we did a number of them at 400 feet and we were only in the air 8 seconds before we were on the ground.

So dont you get to freefall in the paras? That was one of my reasons for wanting to join!!

the army will let you do freefalling if you want and ifm youre good you could get in red devils or the pathfinders or maybe even the SAS

Parachuting in the Army is great fun,if you want to do freefall when you reach the Battalion just ask to be sent on a freefall course to Netheravon at the Army School of Freefall Parachuting.Freefall Parachuting is a sport and it costs money, so if you want it you pay for it that is how the majority of the Red Devils started.The Pathfinders and other Specialists do HALO and HAHO in their respective jobs, so if you want to do it then get going on the courses.
