Hello Brits from Arizona, USA. I hope your experience is not like mine recently...I fly the American flag from a 20 foot pole and it has accessories for another flag below.
I searched in the flag catalog only to discover two flags supporting peace. One with a light blue background and a white dove. The other has a globe with the words "Peace on Earth." In the world today, I feel there is no peace without victory. I called and wrote businesses coast to coast, and learned there are no victory flags available. I believe it shows a lean towards a one sighted view, without a balanced opinion.
I searched the computer and located a photograph of the late Winston Churchill flashing his "V" for victory symbol. I removed his hand, placed it on a blue background and put the word "Victory!! in red below it. It makes a good example of what I have in mind.
Anyone has better luck locating such a flag, pass on the information so I may contact the company.

Patrotism is big in the US, whereas in the UK it is seen as a sin

'Offcial' flag flying is only done on important dates (i.e. Her Majesty's Birthday) - Flying the flag on any other day is seen as an admission of being racist (and no, I'm not joking) by the tree huggers in this country

A few years back, a market trader painted a giant Union Flag on the roof of his outdoor stall because he was 'patriotic' - Only to be told by his local council that it was to be removed/painted over because it may offend other 'cultures in the community' - He refused and it went to court and he received a fine and was forced to paint it over

There's a whole load more stories like this one, but it gives me a tremendous 'sad-on' thinking about them

I recently put a 6 metre flag pole in my garden and I'm currently flying our Union Flag to support our lads - I'm just waiting for that 'knock on the door' from the council telling me to take it down

Goddam it thats really pathetic , its the national flag im sure there would be no opposition if people were to fly the albanian flag.
If immigrants and tree huggers dont like it theres a few hundred other countries they can live in .

What makes it worse, is that the other cultures in the community may well be just as proud to be a part of britain and most likely would not have been offended in the slightest by the flag.

But guardianists, do like telling us all what we are offended by.
At my neices school hot cross buns have been banned as rascist ;/

It really is ridiculous! As diomed said, it’s the national flag for crying out loud!!! In fact, I propose there ought to be a law protecting one’s right to fly the British flag in Britain and a clause attached to that right that removes this right from anyone who uses it while representing racist inflammatory organizations. Eg neo-Nazi skinheads. This way, I can fly my flag and there is no excuse for tree huggers to associate it with anything else. There would obviously need to be some implicit and specific wording so the clause is not abused. (I’m trying to disassociate the flag from those who misrepresent it while maintaining the liberty to fly it.)

Get the biggest one you can get and fly it high!! The higher the better!!

While on the point of hating hippies, this anti-war protest shit bugs me because one the lads are there, they should be in full support of those who enable them to have 'freedom to protest etc.' Or at least they should differentiate between the troops and the politicians.

Being English I find it rather odd that Welsh,Scotish and those in northern Ireland can fly their flags and all have a National Day,they even have there own Parliaments but if talk about an English Parliament or to have St Georges Day celebrations then you get labeled a racist, bu every little politican around.

I a,m Cornish and proud if it but i have to put british on my passport why can't i put Cornish British
