Royal Navy Pre-Recruit Fitness Programme
PRFT navy
Hi JAY since we last spoke i could not do press ups to save my life now i can do 26 and thats quite good for me.
Anyway help or no, I would like to ask if you could confirm the amount of Squat Thrusts needed to pass the RN PRFT.
I have seen 25 or 35 from different but reliable sources you see.
Is there anyway I can improve on these or is it one of those where you can do more by practice?
Thanks Phil

squat thrusts
Unfortunately terry you have to manage 5 more, as the total is 35 reps my last post here was 1 month old, hence I manage 45 now, I tried it the other day and didn't fatigue until 45 reps.tezmal wrote:40 well done bud, how much do we have to do in our tests when we r down there. I can do 30 at the moment
I am aiming for 50+ come the end of August so no worries .
Squat thrusts are ultra draining on the knees and legs I hope we don't do too much of these as they annoy me lots .
PHIL You keep training too

Pre-Joining fitness test....hmmm thats a New "Inicative" i see...
A mile and a half in 11 mins 13 seconds, whos worried?
25 press ups? 39 situps(or was it 49). ALl to bleeps, lots of fun.
The sprint was an arse though, when people get in your way.
As far as Im aware, squat thrusts are just for strengthening muscles in your thighs. blah blah blah, all in all piece of piss

Treadmill Problems..?
Does anyone have this same problem?
I can run 2.4km on road in 9.37
But on a treadmill I can only do it in 13.02
I can never get my balance right on the tread, it drives me mad, the guy at the gym reckons looking at the machine will do this, but if I look straight ahead it makes me worse.
Anyone else have/had this probelm...
