Does anyone know James 'Seamus' Shortt - he has been questioned on The ARmy Rumour SErvice (ARRSE) as to his seemingly dubious claims of service in the UK Armed Forces.
On the first link it is claimed that he "is a British Royal Marine (TA)", this is in line with other claims to have been a Para and SAS ...you'll get the drift of his expertise on reading the link.

What on earth is going on? Why would anyone put so much effort into 'researching' a Wally?

I am mystified. {not unusual, mind, but this seems quite bizarre}

He threatened to sue arrse and the bandwidth provider as well as sending threats to other arrse members - he parades in SAS uniform, claimed to be a bootie, wears dubious medals - as you say a wally (walt more likely) - his threat of legal action is still open - though god knows what action he thinks he can take through the courts.

Appart from his other dubious claims the Pope did make him a member of the Papal Order of St Gregory for his part in ending the Cold War

... but it's fun too
