Hi are there any general technicians on here that can possibly tell me about their experiences and whether they enjoy doing what they do?

I passed my aptitude test and now have a formal interview, so wanted to know a bit more about the trade etc.

Many Thanks

Hi bigdj, am going to assume you've been on the RAF careers website and found this page...

Not seen any of them on here - or at least, none that are admitting it...

Wait and see though, could be wrong!

To be honest, I'm not really all that sure about what happens with the ground trades, because i joined up as aircrew.
Have you been over to military fitness and training? There are lots of threads on there about the application process etc.

I'll have a look through the RAF forum on here and see if I can find you some links, if there's anything useful.

Hyper when I had the talk with the fella from the afco after my aptitude test i was given a criminal check form that I have to fill in and a medical form that looks like it has to be filled in by my doctor - do you by any chance know if I have got to take these forms back with me to my formal interview?

If they didn't give you any other instructions as to what to do with them, then yes, I would do that. If you're worried, just give them a call and ask, they won't mind.
When's your interview?
