AMEND, not Emend See me!
Right young sir, you have a choice, it's not much of a choice, but it's a choice. Detention on Friday at 1600, 45 minutes in the barrel. Or extra PT in the gym.
OK see you in the barrel on Friday, strange boy, but I like him!

H!!
I was getting mixed times with you and Sydney.
And Mr Parry sir.
" EMEND" [as in text]
"Removing errors and making improvements"
Also See "AMEND"
---------------------
If detention is having a young blonde tormenting me, I will
accept,
Extra PT is out, { SICK NOTE}
If the barrel contains Whiskey, Then this is my choice,
Aye
John_D
Just returned from my GP,
He comfirms that my sick note is still valid

As for Widnes "H" for the last couple of years the town center has
almost been flattened, there is a dig redevlopment under way,
Its getting hard to remember which roads are opened and which have
gone, Most of the old watering holes are staying but with modifications.

I remember an aussie running the doctors,If my memory serves me right he was an ex rugby player, cant remember his name at the present but it will come to me, they opened an old cinema up as a Pub /
Restaurant, "Weatherspoons", good nectar but lacks entertainment,
[ unless you make your own ] They are planning a night cub / restaurant
in the center, where the old coop was. [that big building on the corner,
near the Swinton Insurance place.

Getting away from various boozers in the NW and back to the Amend v's Emend debate, my dictionary has Emend as an archaic version of Amend.
I guess John D would be more familiar with the words commonly used in his era!
Regards,
Dave B.
P.S. John, by the way, what's the maximum effective range of your Pike??
