Well we could sink a few of their ships that stray into Iraq waters. It makes me wonder why the British Warship just sat there and let it happen.

HMS Cornwall should`ve seen this coming and blown the farquars away.
Bollocks to Downing Street driven R.O.E.s
Judged by twelve, not carried by six.

my punt is that they will be held till after the the UN votes on sanctions later this week, they might think they can sway the vote somehow, or released a few hours before to look good.

but the Iranian's make $150 million per day due to the increase in oil price during the tensions, they've gone up $4 a barrel since yesterday morning.

So basically we are paying them extra at the pumps for holding our troops, something wrong somewhere.

I wasn't aware of that. It is ridiculous surely some action should be taken possibly agressive (or at least the threat of agressive) action is what is needed. I'm not a polititian and it's not my decision to make but surely they can't get away with abducting British servicemn/women. Can they?

they got 100+ Americans hostage for several months in the 1980's,

Mind you America did blow up one of there aircraft full of civilians, and perform a regime change. Not sure of the time line of which came first without having a look into it.

Wouldn't have thought it would go on for more than a week, but you never know with these mad mullahs.

Can any one explain why these people were boarding ships unarmed, are not supposed to be in a war zone. What would have happened if there had been terrorist on board one of the ships that they had boarded what would this RN ship been able to do when the men are captured on board. Why didn't the RN drop a shell across the bows of this ship to warn it to keep it's distance, surely they saw it coming on the radar. I think there should be a lot of questions asked on just what was going on to allow this to happen. If it had been the Americans they would have blown that boat out of the water, but us oh no can't upset any one. let them take prisoners and we will sit down and talk about it for years and years.

Tab your right mate,

can't help think that we might have to embed a US soldier on each boat with our guys, at least then the Iranians would think twice. Cause we are no deterrent to this bunch of mullahs.

Not sure that the Marines weren't armed, maybe the RN guys weren't. But someone was a sleep for sure on the Cornwall. The Cornwall's lynx was above in seconds if not before the Iranian's got there and watched the whole thing happen.

but well done to Iran, with 90% of the British public against any such war in Iran. They might just have done Tony's and George's work for them.
