alrite lads just passed me NCO Cadre. wana get meself attached to an infantry battalion for Afghanistan this year does anyone know whos going and when roughly? also, how do i go about doing this? who do i ask RCMO? My OC? cheers

Grenadier Guards for one.
Not sure which other infantry units are going out with them.

I think the 1st Batallion Royal Anglians are deploying with them.

cheers lads. just a quick one though, it would probably be too late to go out with the April deployment to Afghan as they would be near the end of their op-tag training now so will be looking at going out in november time so i can do op-tag with the people im going out with. so who do i see now RCMO is it or? nice one

Royal Anglians, Grenadier Guards, WFR and Royal Welsh are the infantry regiments, although its only one coy from WFR and Royal Welsh deploying. Royal Anglian and Grenadier Guards are all ready to deploy having done all the training, i am on POTL right now.

Glad to see your still about mate. Did you go to Oman for your build up training? Or did you have to settle for Otterburn

I have a mate in the anglians and he went off to Kenya the other week, he expects to go out to afghan soon after.

Congratulations mate, Out of interest what corps/regiment are you in? I'll be doing the JNCO cadre in the future so do you have any advice or tips for it?
