Hey guys,
Im writing this for my fella who cant get to a comp right now.
He is a reenlistment in the Army, (he was in the Cheshires for 4 years), but this time he is joining the Paras.
Its his medical finally on Tues after waiting almost a year, but hes worried now. When he first joined the army he applied for the tankies, but failed because he is red/green colour blind, so went to the cheshires.
Will the same happen again? Can you still be in the Paras if your colour blind?
Thanks in advance guys!

It depends just who bad things are, there are certain things that you need to have full vision for.

Me old Dad once caught me giving meself a seeing-to

,
"Oi, Arry

If you don`t stop doing that you`ll go blind

"
"Can`t I just carry on till I need glasses then?

"
Colour blindness is more important for some Branches/Regts than others. All Para Reg require is the ability to distinguish Maroon, hey girls

Hi, i failed my colour blindness test at afco when going through my application for raf reg, got sent to afco at Liverpool for a stricter test, i had to stand in a dark room, watching a box with 2 small lights in, you had to say what colour they changed to, either green, white, or red. I was told not to get any incorrect or i would fail the test and my application put back. Think i got 2 wrong, but the examiner kept telling me to concentrate harder on the lights and told me the correct colour, so i passed. I must be a real blind bat! I woudn't worry about the tests, might be different for army? Regards
