Weapons system operator (crewman) Loadmaster

Anyone have any knowledge of this job?
I have the 5 gcse's required would this be sufficent to get in :)
Anyone one know anything of the nco aptitute tests ?
I'am 31 at the moment ,would i still get in ok
....and finally I was at Halton in Oct 2001 but left after 6 weeks(What a plonker) for personal reasons..Would this be frowned upon


please help

That link pretty much answers all your questions but as far as wanting to be a loadie, you can say this is your preference but you are not guaranteed the role. You actually apply as WSOp and they stream you to a role thats suits your abilities.

As for the aptitude test, again its not specific to WSOp you take the same test as all potential officers and NCOs whether it be for pilot or ATC. This test is difficult if you are planning on going for it you'd better start practising your maths again! A lot of people fail this test and if you do manage to pass it im sure when it comes to the interview you will be grilled about why you left Halton so you wll have to put a bit of spin on that one.

Can take up to about a year to get in, if you pass everything, so you'd better get a wriggle on if you're going to do it!
