Yes mate. Especially if you're a squadron chef with the Regiment or the Support Helicopter force, or on the Mobile Catering Support Unit (MCSU).

Worth asking the AFCO. The chefs on the Regt sqns are very respected, the gunners tend to appreciate the work they put in more than some fat techy' who'd rather visit the kebab van on base!! But as far as i'm concerned, all RAF chefs are the dogs bollocks and proper grafters. Good luck mate.

Just another quick question, as a Chef would I still have the opportunity to work towards representing the RAF in Athletics.

Support helicopter force is based at RAF Benson ?
Mobile catering support unit is based at RAF Wittering ?
