Just out of curiosity, what's your 1.5 mile time? Cause taking your pace for the 3 miles would give you a time of 7:30 min and I'm sure you'd be able to up the pace over the shorter distance so was just wondering exactly how fast you can run it.
my pb is 7mins flat but i only run that sort of time if i train hard for a few weeks but not concentrating on my run time anymore im working on my alround fitness at the mo, upperbody work etc....
Are you sure considering the split time for 3000m would give the world record holder an average pace 1.5 mile time of 5.52???
Im not disbelieving you but maybe you should be looking at olympic training not joining up

Just too add I do 4 miles in 32 minutes so am a bit of a slow poke

3000 meters is 9000 feet, roughly. A mile is 5248 feet. So 1 and 3/4 miles

and third fastest in the world does this in

The performance of the day belonged to Mo Farah, who sliced a huge 6.52 seconds off the British 3,000 metres record he set in Glasgow just three weeks ago, setting a new mark of 7min 34.47sec, the third fastest in the world this year, to underline his golden credentials

It's a 2% incline that you have to do it on mate, you can feel a noticeable difference to running on flat (I've not done my PJFT but i've ran on a treadmill with the incline), hence why my typical 3 and 6 mile run routes have a lot of hills in them
