I think that was the machine gun mounted in the back of an estate car! Why the hell they would need that I don't know. Who are they expecting to have a go at Bush? A full company attacking, perhaps a parachute attack or amphib landing up the Thames?

I am feeling a bit sorry for George W. Surely, he is allowed to visit the UK if he wants to. Maybe, if he got some counselling here, he might think again and change his ways.
Or may be I am going soft in my old age ! :-?

Georgie's getting his counsel from above, so he thinks. God talks to him. My, the nerve! And Tone kneels next to him in prayer as Dick Cheney and Karl Rove get on the mike behind the altar.
"Dick C's in the house so start chillin'
KR's in da house, I'm just illin'!"

Wonder if Barney's a reincarnation of Son of Sam. Maybe Peeples?

The blokes a complete c*nt.

I'm hoping someone will slot him - I'd just love to see all those secret service men running around with their heads up their arse's, and it'd remove a complete arsehole from the world as well.

Just watched the procession of limos going down The Mall to the Banqueting House, more vehicles and police than the general sightsee-er must be great to be the most powerful person in the world, bullet proof 5" thick glass and armour plating. Democracy for freedom of speech gives you this, 14000 British Bobbies and 700 Secret Service Agents and a Teflon Turd that not too many are interested in.

For those overseas readers that do not know about the actual lapse in security within the Palace, best you read todays ON LINE DAILY MIRROR, WOWEE!

Fair enough the guy doesn’t present himself very well and comes across as a stereotypical ignorant American – the fact is that he is basically a figurehead – if Gore was president there would probably still have been a war in Iraq – just a better presented ‘moral’ war.

People just like to hate Bush because of his Image portrayed in the UK media – basically a result of him being a poor public speaker. Personally I don’t think Gore would have actually been any better – he would have just come across better in the media.

The fact is that the invitation for this visit was made shortly after September 11th 2001 and we are honouring that invitation. I doubt Tony Blair is happy about the timing of the visit and I’m sure Mr Bush isn’t too happy about the demonstrations. But to start criticising him for coming over here & having loads of pomp and ceremony just shows ignorance as it was us (or rather Buckingham palace) who made the invitation a long time ago.

I reckon this will be the last Official State Visit to this country of any head of state, I cannot see for security reasons and expense that a visit such as this can be justified.

It has caused an enormous amount of disruption to a capital city, I feel pretty sure that the Secret Service Agents possibly outnumber the foreign visitors for Bush's visit.

I like the American people, I don't like Bush and his policies no more than I like Blair and his policies, so when Friday comes GWB, Good Riddance and take B Liar with you, the Yanks seem to like him more than we!

Spanner it isn't we like Blair more, it is just when Blair talks you can understand him. Bush said"We will not tollerate enemies who hold us hostile, nor tollerate those who hold our allies hostile."
WTF was that supposed to mean. Did he mean hostage? See atleast Bliar can speak in coherent sentences.
