10:10 And he became very hungry, and would have eaten: but while they made ready, he fell into a trance,

10:11 And saw heaven opened, and a certain vessel descending unto him, as it had been a great sheet knit at the four corners, and let down to the earth:

10:12 Wherein were all manner of fourfooted beasts of the earth, and wild beasts, and creeping things, and fowls of the air.

10:13 And there came a voice to him, Rise, Peter; kill, and eat.

10:14 But Peter said, Not so, Lord; for I have never eaten any thing that is common or unclean.

10:15 And the voice [spake] unto him again the second time, What God hath cleansed, [that] call not thou common.

Acts 10:10-15

If God says it's alright then it's alright by me.

first of all i am one because it just happened that way , i didnt state that we arent meant to eat meat ,i as a vegatarion i do not have a problem with meat eaters exept when they waste it,that animal died for a reason and should be respected, i also cook meat for friends and very well too, like the other posts here it mentions not all pretty boys are limp wristed or something along those lines, the same gos for vegatarions too,i have to agree with a lot of the comments about pretty boys too, but in my 7 years as a royal marine i wasnt the only one in the corps who didnt eat meat and none i met were "limp wristed" exept of course if the run ashore that night stated you had to be and again like some of the posts here mention,it takes all sorts and i was one of them and proud of it too

I never connect being vegetarian with being a pretty boy. Unless someone is doing it to be fashionable one week, then is on the Atkin's diet the next, the decide they are going organic... The ones who follow whatever diet their favourite celebrities are currently on. THAT'S typical girly man behaviour. Nothing wrong with a plain old veggie. Especially one who's an ex-bootneck

I think the trouble with our society is that we have TOO much choice. Think about it - people around the world are suffering from malnutrition and people in the west are deliberately NOT eating meat.

On the other side of the argument however there are people in Britain eating way too much, as shown with the obesity epidemic............

Anyway back to the main topic........I think the main thing in life is to be happy with yourself. Being too self concious turns people into nobs.

Well said.

If you are ugly, which you probably are - Accept it.

No amount of dolling yourself up is going to change it. You will just be a tarted up ugly bloke.

Wish someone would say that to some of the women I see out round here...
I'm even glad of the rain at the moment - it means most of the big fat ones wear more clothes!

A Polished Turd:

Women and Men, usually overweight and ugly who spend ridiculous amounts of money trying in vain to make themselves look better through make-up, clothes, jewelry and possessions.

"A turd is a turd and no amount of polishing is going to change that."

A man after my own heart, platonically that is. Next time you're in the States let me know and I'll put an extra steak on the grill. Just make sure to get here before I eat both of them :)

Technically then, we're made of meat too...
That's not a very nice thought!
But humans have been eating animals for thousands of years, it's no different from lions eating zebras, except for the cooking, and the lack of running away.
I tried being vegetarian when I was a teenager, think I lasted all of a week. Couldn't do without my Sunday roast!
Or bacon sandwiches...
Or steak...

My mum brought me back a recipe book from Greece (in English, strangely) and there's a recipe in there for baked brains. (Cow's brain)
Don't think I'll be trying it.
