You don't need to do a 10 mile tab before joining. The tabs start off short and not that difficult so just do some running and you'll be fine.
Cheers,
ED.

Training solo is so much harder if you dont have a buddy, but it pays off in the end because you achive something called Self Motivation, which is a brill ability to have.
Im savin up now for an mp3 player so I can listen to some high power music while I go runnin, should help out alot!

Hey don't you lot think you are a bit harsh on mal. Yea he may seem a bit unconfident but trust me he isn't he is an alrite blokey. He sounds very dterminied to me and maybe could use a little advice but then again thats why he asked a question in the first place.

Bring back any memories mate?
The original post was made about a month before you started your basic training, and you were in the same situation as me at the moment (as i too have just over 1 month until i go). I on the other hand am not doing 10 mile tabs, as i seem to remember you getting shin splints just before you went into training!
Has it snowed yet up in N-Yorks?

Firstly, mal is a mate of mine and he isnt "almost there", although he is doing well at the moment.
Another thing; dont call me a prick or a daft cnut. you dont know me.

Mal is not quite almost there. Lasttime i spoke to him he was still techically injured and that was several minutes ago. He is quite near though. Hope you weren't calling me a c**t.
