Contractor just because some members have BNP sympathies does it mean that they picked out and monitored just because of there beliefs.

I don't think that's right. :-?

This is just my view Contractor i'm not starting a argument or anything. Just airing my view's that's all mate. :D

Jason, if we have a sudden influx of any particular group we would 'monitor' their input with interest.

Perhaps the question as to why we should have a sudden influx of BNP members joining our forum should be raised? What are there aims, purpose and reasons for joining a site which is dedicated to matters military - are they ex servicemen who want to swing the lamp, or, are there ulterior motives, pehaps recruitment of new members?

If recruitment is one of their aims do we want this occurring on our site?

Contractor: if you don't deem it appropriate for such topics to be discussed on military forums then why is there a political affairs forum?

Not having a bitch, just wondering? I know this thread has some close to the bone opinions but it's still a political debate.

Because the site is aimed at serving, or retired, Royal Marines who may wish to express political opinions. We also have 'guests' who are very welcome to ask about life in RM, rctment, trg, etc. Naturally, they may also want to express political, and other, opinions. But this is at the Moderators' discretion [at least, I hope it is]

What it's not for is recce missions by people with a political agenda - which is far removed from a political opinion.

I'd be interested to see the 'Joining Dates' of all those BNP supporters who seem to have arrived recently. In fact, I think I'll look 'em up myself!

Exactly! Why this thread appeared on this forum board when there are two other threads with the same title on the Political Forum beggars belief.

Do I presume that IF any leftist extreme views be aired on MF, from any would be Marxist organisation that these organisations will be looked into as are the BNP.

From a (now) disillusioned Conservative voter all my life, aged 64 with a modicum of sense and who can make up his own mind without being indoctrinated by others. We all have our own views, for the record (again) my politics are right of centre and as free thinking people you can interpret into that whatever you want to. There is only one party who fits that bill for me right now and that is the BNP, if the Tories do decide to go right of centre then I will support them again.

Politics covers everything political and not just the BNP. It is there because it is linked to the military because we are governed by politicians.

You can all thank wholley  he wanted the political forum, and now we all be having debates (arguments) about politics...

It’s been interesting if nothing else to learn about how everybody views the current political situation in our country, and most people have made their opinions known...

I on the other hand am still in two minds about the BNP, a scare vote may work, but what happens if a majority decides the same thing, the BNP get into power and things start to change slowly, at first for the better but as time goes on I think their true colours would start to show...

Remember people Hitler was voted in, he didn’t take power he was given it...

This and other BNP thread have made an interesting read, and it's good to see political stances outside liberalism being discussed openly without fear of retribution. The sort of places I normally frequent, you wouldn't be able to express any views even slightly right of centre without being treated as a pariah or instantly banned. Military forums should be congratulated on allowing such freedom of speech.

I strongly disagree with lot of the BNP's objectives and for that reason would not want to see them form a government, but I would have to give consideration to a tactical protest vote, as a wake up call to the main parties that not everyone wants what the media says we want.

But supposing you do vote BNP at the next election, would you admit it to your friends, family and work mates? What would the repercussions be?

Contractor,
Although I have no real clue why there has been an influx of BNP
members on to MF I did not ask for a political forum just for the gang of three
to discuss American politics,I thought we could all just get along and
sensibly debate our world views.Seems to be a lot of yelling at the mo.
I will have to google BNP as I know nothing about them.
Are they akin to the KKK?
Happy New Year to you and yours
Wholley.

I think pretty much everyone on here can agree to disagree on politics.

At the same point very few people on here would agree that some who speaks at meetings of the KKK are all that good people. Although I have seen an interesting canundrum here in Alberta, I have met Cree (thats a North American Indian tribe,) who are Neo Nazis, at first I thought that was kind of odd but appearantly they and Nazis consider them to be pure. And therfore somehow it works out that they are non white aryans :o .

I don't particularly think that there is an influx of BNP supporters I can only think of one or two people who said they are members. At the same time I guess a number of people have said they liked the idea of a second voice preferably conservative. So the mention of support for the BNP should be a hint to the Torys to slap there bollocks and get there act together, a message to the Labour Party to stop carving away what the sweat and blood of the English, Scottish, Welsh and Irish people have slaved to build since they flew under the Union Jack.

Ben,

The original Aryans were an early race of pure Hindu stock.. They were the progenitors of the Indo-European Group i.e. Celtic, Teutonic, etc..

So many of the white people in the world, if they looked back far enough, would find some Asian DNA in their genes. [Needless to say, Nazis use the term improperly, in the same way as they misinterpreted Nietzsche]
