so what did the ACIO/AFCO say????

Had an applicant like this a few months ago. got into fights that sort of thing
Gave him a chance, then he went on ADSC and guess what?? he started a fight first night there.

Am loathed to believe most of the story, it sounds either like it never happened or it wasnt as bad as it was made out to be???

Been in a long time and can tell when something doesnt sound right?

see u say u had an applicant like this before but surely almost every applicant would be like this i mean everybody has had at least one fight in their life i just unfortunately got caught im not a fighter im not an angry person so stereotypin me to be like some twat who picks fights cos it makes him look cool is just daft cos im not that type of person and the view of the incident is a drunken one its the way i remember it and what my mate said but anyway case closed im not really bothered bout it anymore. and my careers officer said he would give me the chance i showed him my letter from the pf but explained to him tht it was my first ever arrest and it was justified to a certain extent as to just because the guy was wearing a uniform he thought he could get away with being racist and i snapped and it takes a hell of a lot to test my patience, im a pike fisher mate and patience is all part of the job when doin that
.

If you would like to introduce some punctuation and some decent English into your post, maybe people will actually be able to read it.

Not almost every applicant is like that. Only the ones with no self-control or very few brain cells.

only things like racism n anything against religion would do that n im not even a religious person but i believe that a person shouldn't be abused for their race or which god they choose to believe in apart from that nothing will bother me quite a cool calm n collected guy

adabhoy67,

What happened then? Have they put a hold on your application?

I applied for the RAF Regiment almost 5 years ago but was rejected at the very last stage due to incurring a criminal record half way through my application. They were going to waiver it but in the end they didn't and I got told to come back when my conviction was spent. I applied for the Army and they said the same. Almost 5 years down the line and I am 11 weeks away from my conviction been fully spent and I can re-apply form my dream career.

It's been a long wait but I'm sure it's been worth it

Great to see your joining the RLC

Thank God Im getting out.

My personal opinion from reading your posts is that you are going to be a drama case, who starts fights and then finds any old excuse to get out of it.

Hey but thats my opinion and doesnt count for anything really.
Three weeks left and Im off to a better place!!!

I dont have to explain anything, as I said its my opinion and doesnt count for much.

Or am I pissing you off and am asking for one of your rare losses of temper??

You were drunk and kicked off at what you percieved as a rasict comment to your mate??
Instead of either ignoring it or reporting this guy to the management you started a fight!!!

For me my friend, alarm bells are ringing

maybe your right mate. but at the end of the day i asked for advice on what would happen at the time n by the time it took someone to actually get round to answering the question i'd been to my CO and asked. n then people get this opinion of me. personally ive never had an image or a opinion of someone over a computer. i reserve judgement til i meet someone. but fcuk it thats life they say what they want i get up n get on with life. but cheers for bein one of the half decent folk thats replied to this post ;)

Mate, I think the reaction you've had was due to initial way you described the incident. Smashing windows to batter people doesn't sound too good.

However, if you recruiters aren't bothered about it then you don't need to be either. We all make mistakes and this certainly seems to have been a big mistake that you have been lucky enough to get away with.

Just forget about it now and crack on with selection. All the best.
