I'm 100% sure it was run at 9 min/mile as we were told right after finishing. The post asked about the early stages of RT and I was just giving an idea of what we encountered. Pace was obviously increased from then on to bring the troop up to speed. Not sure about being a 'cotton wool' troop, perhaps boys who experienced different training teams could comment better.

Well, it's 7mins 30sec miles isn't it, if it's 22mins 30secs
Alright alright, it was a while ago

Just very surprised that a trainered run was done so slowly, seems odd, but then every PTI has his own methods.

'Cotton wool troop' was tongue in cheek, no offence intended 8)

Ha Ha, no offence taken mate. I suppose I'll be able to give you an idea of how my old training team compare to others very shortly since I'm rejoining on the 28th of this month. Happy Days.

to jasmine:i been doing 1.5 miles for a start into running and doing them at around 8:38:--9 mins, i now doing 2 miles ish(maybe 1.8/9) at 14:27 though i did do a 13:38 yesterday :) (though i think my swimming helps)

once i get my runnign to a constant pace ie no slow downs i think il improve better, im going to start 3 miles once i do this and hope to get a good 21 mins-20 mins if i can not slow down.

for interval training what exercises do you suggest sinse i want to be better at assult crouse work ie " 5 ft wall and back ect", also this will help with bleep test.

any help welcome, as will i help with swimming questions
