Thanks Boxingmad, that is helpful. I'll look forward to those killer runs!
I expect i'll be joining Croydon as i'm living in Reading / Southampton. Are you in 4 para then? Also, if the training is on every tuesday night, do you get travel expenses paid?

Yep, couldn't agree more!
You should get travel expenses as well.
Wherever you'll end up, you'll go to White City to meet up for the travel to the training area. 4 Para have now centralised their training, so all recruits go up north to Leeds/Newcastle/Catterick etc.

has anyone else got an oct the 2nd date for this course?
its looking like i might not get to do it because of joining the regulars but im keeping myself very fit still just in case my application takes a long time or goes tits up
the "beat up" weekends should be coming up soon at least ill get to do those and have a go at the log race, trainasium etc
ive decided to abandoned the idea of a mouth gaurd since i had a fight last week with a gang of lads and my teeth stood up well to being hit in the mouth with a shopping bag containing tins
bring on luverly soft boxing gloves

had a go on a sort of trainasium at aldershot's pti school on the assault course (its only about the size of two houses and the very top shuffle bars have a platform underneath) , the proper trainasium they used to have has been knocked down
anyway the shuffle bars were no real dramas for me, but this one didnt have the illusion jump, seesaw etc
so when i do test week i wont have had the proper acclimatisation that 4 para and others would have had
nay bother though, theres no way im not going through with it when im up there
