For sneaky: You dont know me nor i you. To measure a man by his skills in typing and spelling say alot about your intelligence ...ALSO if a petty thing like spelling gets your goat and you "CANT TAKE IT" than im guessing you probably couldnt stand most thing offered in a modern army and havnt..With that sead and in closing to YOU if my grammer and spelling offends you please feel free not to read them and keep your smug uniformed comments to your self.
For Dave..Sorry if i seamed a bit outta line as that wasnt my intention..I completely understand. I think what i really ment to point out is that if someone wanted to learn anything i think the net would be that last place we would have to worry about them snooping as it would just come off too apparent..So no harm, and again my appoligies..Padre is an Ok fella

No man prays more for peace like a soldier....Before, during and after he is called to hell.
Sneaky was pointing out that it is a measure of a mans intelligence that, in a western society, he can write properly. Fair comment. It reasonably follows, if you know anything about UKSF, that an above average level of intelligence is required to achieve membership of said SF.swampcrawler wrote:For sneaky: You dont know me nor i you. And you are whom?
Sneaky's comments are respected because the members of this of this forum know he is genuine. Until you can demonstrate a level of skills and drill at least as good as SB then be a good lad and respectfully pay attention. Alternatively, as out American friends would say; STFU.

If your looking for a fight please look else where. I have no intention of entertaining this/your circus of portractionist ideals that you see as a way of entertaining your obviously lonely empty internet lives that you feel are/will be filled by fighting on an internet eboard...These are the actions of a coward and are usually fostered by the fake and weak. So to you i say WHAT EVER FLOATS YOUR BOAT.
See its as simple as this, a real soldier/operator or what ever it is you call your selves would not have the time or inclination to worry such things..

I have pondered long and hard about well thought out responses to this character. I have constructed indepth and witty replies. I have even taken the time to consider the validity of his statements.swampcrawler wrote:If your looking for a fight please look else where. Ladies Ladies-lets calm down-were all on the same side. Back to the topic-although hardly an accurate account, in one of my old copies of FHM it had and article about B.U.D.S. It showed all the candidates with their mouths, wrists and ankles bound and then they were dunked into a swimming pool. I take it this is to see if you remain calm whilst in extreme circumstances, but realistically-when would that ever happen. The exercise where the instructor cuts the air tank hose is fair enough, but bounding them-how do they escape being tied up??
Bloody Arse!

If english is not your first language you are doing a decent job of putting your point, however slagging each other off over the net (and even if I enjoy baiting RM's I am x para so it is to be expected) is a bit pointless.

The Brecon Becons still stand Pen-y Fan is still a pain it makes no differance jnr, snr, selection, it stays with you ............
As for me not being able to spell yeah right.Get a life.I mean if someone`s grammar and punctuation is going to annoy you ,you must be some sad-ass individual. And if you`re trying to measure someone`s intellect by his spelling well then you mus`nt be very smart yourself.
It`s all very fickle arguing over something as tedious as that.
As regards the SEALS I`m not looking for specifics ,just a bit of clarity
on their roles.I`m not looking for operational procedures or the like.

Padre,
Sorry I lumped you with others. You are actually quite legible! If you still want specific info. then please PM me and I will try to answer. You do have to realise that any SF unit will not give out too much detail as to how they operate.

I think your last two posts have just strengthened my argument!
Just as a matter of interest - What are you doing in Austria? Are you a member of the US Forces? And why can't you spell and use correct grammar?
As you rightly say "I CAN'T TAKE IT" - Your spelling and grammar that is.!!
Surely you know how to use the spell checker?

Right i'm gonna chip in here!........
Drown-proofing...... is done in usually 12 ft of water, with ankles and wrists bound. You take a deep breath, sink to bottom, settle, push off, break surface take another breath and repeat...........
Its not that hard.........the purpose of drown proofing is to give the operator complete confidence in the water, if people are in the water and the unexpected happens, they pannick, this leads to increased HR etc etc, and uses more Oxygen etc that is in your lungs.
Drown-proofing and other underwater taskings till the point of (near )black out are to give you a complete calmness in the water, and remove that sense of pannick that would naturally occur in others not so trained......
i hope that helped....
What was the original question on SEAL's? i can probably help

I`m probably not understood,my question is what are the roles of the US
Navy SEALS?I`m not looking for any specifics that would comprimise
the unit or national security or the like.I just don`t know what they do.
I.e Are they sent in for hostage situations or sabotage, behind enemy lines
etc
I know they are a maritime coomando force and obviously as their name
implies they can work in any medium but where are they at their best?
Water? :usa
