You've got to laugh!

I've just heard this 'incident' discussed on the Jeremy Vine programme on BBC 2. One of the usual 'experts' stated that, "We used to do this sort of thing when I was in the Army. They put you in a ring with another guy, and you had to fight. It was called MINCING".

I just knew we'd have problems when we OK'd Homosexuals in the Forces!

No it doesn't, it tells a sensationalist pile of twoddle, the validity of which has been questioned by serving and ex serving marines on this site and elsewhere. I wouldnt give the bloke the time of day to be honest mate, don't read his book like its gospel whatever you do. There is a thread on here where the book is discussed in detail, in fact it may be on MF&T... have a gander at it.

Theres plans afoot to have a MF meet up, well grumblings at this stage that are going to be acted upon. BUT! If I turn up and See Mike with a pair of roll mats, Artist in theatre scrubs and Loz naked wanting to rip my head off, I will happily say "Oh sorry I was looking for weight watchers" and continue on my merry way (In a reverse direction)

Put that camcorder down Hackedoff!!!!!!!

The difference these days is these bloody phones and camera's.
I remember an incident where the Bn was on a range week at Lydd.
We had been away for some time and had missed the usual xmas stuff so they gave us a piss up with entertainment, you know the usual strippers etc.
During one of the "acts" a pte was enticed on to the stage, the girlie then proceded to dry f$%k him, obviously the lads were giving him a lot of encouragement ( this was in front of the whole Bn).
There was a flash went off, somebody had taken a photo.
The QM (for them that don't know, he has gone through the ranks, WO1 up to Capt/Major) made it his personal job to hunt down the bloke that took the photo and destroyed the film.
Now they seem to sell them to the papers. ?????

I'm just glad theses Camera phones werent around when Royal and Jack reclaimed Union Street in the mid seventies.

42, Bde and Logs had just returned from a Med trip (Pauls Punch Bowl in Malta......that was bad to). 40 were just back from a tour of NI and the Owd Ark Royal and attached frigates and destroyers were back alongside as well.

The Janner hardcase civvies had taken over a few Pubs n Clubs in our absence. That Saturday night the Strasse ran with blood. The Coppers, the Shore patrols and the RM Police just sat back and watched it all happen. Sorted. And the Strasse was back to normal. The local Hospitals had a busy night as Civvies were coming in with various injuries.

We had one Herbert under a dustbin as in we put the dustbin over his head and then wacked the bin against the side of the Two Trees Public House a few times. Summut we had learnt in Malta when a Bootneck was stabbed in Selima by the local tough guys.

Just imagine what the reaction would have been if it had been filmed and sold to the NOW?!?!?!

Y'see, Doc, it wasn't the shaving of your legs in the bath which I minded ...... it was the bristly tidemark which you left for me to clean off which rankled.
