I am currently a cadet in the ATC. I feel very sorry for you about this corporal v. You always get at least two or three in every squadron or detachment. At ours its a midget cadet who i will rue the day when he becomes an NCO. He will too he doesnt say anything when an officers around and skirts away from any responsibility. He cant navigate for beans though and he sucks at fieldcraft which in my opinion is the only activity in the cadets where you truly need NCOs

Good effort!

I have attempted to join...having only left cadets a year ago I've hopefully given them enough info to 'authenticate' me as a genuine cadet...plus I'd outrank most of them by the looks of things!!

After someone on the website talked about parade and gave some advice on it 'Cpl sh**hed' said this
i'm not trying to be rude here by why did you post this letter. i mean all the information is very true but why did you find the need to post such a accurate and lengthy post about cadets standing upright. are you really that bored? your post leaves no place or a responce, all anyone can do is read, agree and move on.
so for what's worth

It was advice u tw*t!! :fist:

I've been given a pill by them, I was honestly looking at the recruiting angle and as an Ex Cadet wanted to see what made them tick and as I am often speaking to potential recruits, wanted to see what they are like in their own world.
Hi there,
I’m afraid this site is only for current ACF adults and cadets – largely based within LONDIST. There are other forums which cater for a wider audience that you may want to try for these purposes.
Thank-you for your interest though.
LONDIST is a Military term, as cadets I would assume thay would call it London District. I'm wondering if their parents have to call them by rank!

As for using rank all of the time they like you to have your rank as part of your user name...
Your user account has not yet been authorised for access.
In order to become a member, you must do the following:
1. Change your username to something that will identify you to the other cadets and adults on the forum - ie. Sgt Cadle, Cdt Clements etc
2. Send an e-mail to info@londoncadets.net detailing who you are (including rank) and which unit you are currently at (including the area this is in).
Hope to hear from you soon.
I couln't even get to read any posts and to be honest don't think I'd like what I see if I did. They are happy in their insular world and if I was your mate Dan, I'd get out of there or just ignore our 'Cpl V'
Now this tickled me!
p.s. you are very lucky you adressed me by my rank on your last post because the manner you spoke/wrote was unacceptable"
What was he going to do... a cyber knuckle? He really does need to get a life, Cadets should be about fun and learning NOT about bollockings and rank.

I got exactly the same mail as Sticky, despite giving them all my cadet 'credentials' and saying I was looking at becoming an ACF officer. Even gave them a username with my rank in it!! This Cadle character seems to be quite a way up his own arse.

There was a chap called Viera on my JCC in '74. It's an unusual name and the similarities of character are very striking. I think these two must be related. :o :o

No doubt! Well i'm happy the tyrannical idiocy of these wannabes has been exposed. I guess we can wrap up this thread, safe in the knowledge that if any of these power hungry monkeys ever gob off to anyone with or without military experience, they will be summarily filled in. Any other incidences of nobber cadets should be quoted and shamed here. 8)

I've heard of this green bootneck recruit who has been out of the factory for less than a dog watch and keeps giving people sh1t about training and where they go wrong in their tactics; he has also been known to stand outside scout halls hurling abuse via his in car 2.5 watt stereo.
Which do you think is best, Dan or Chris.

Go Chris............

Watch and cheroot, watch and cheroot............. out :P

hey this aint seb its a mate of his. Im in the cadet at the moments and a member of that site. I think you guys are right the site sucks. The problem is the dickhead adults are always going on about being adult liek and shit and they always complain when cadets use certain language or what ever.
But there are a few people like cpl v in cadets who take it too seriuosly, and think they run the whole f@#k system.
Im thinking of joining the marines myself one day. My brother has just started his commando tests and if he passes hes going for the SBS.

Cdt *******, Cpl V needs not that you lissen to him. he is above and beyond you. when you find yourself in the ACF after 3 years than you are qualified to contact Cpl V.
What is he talking about?! :drinking:

Just relax, safe in the knowledge, this guy, when not in DPM feeling all high and mighty with his rank in the cadets, is probably the 5ft loser we all knew in school with one friend, and recieves constant abuse for marching about the place. I personally think someone should make contact with our Corporal V. and invite him for a peruse around these forums so we can express our opinions fully.

Three years as a cadet and he is coming out with crap like this!
he is above and beyond you
He should be in the Hitler youth making statements like that, perhaps he thinks he is.
Send him round my office and I'll GLADLY explain a few home truths to him, size 8 style!

Ha ha sticky, never thought of that. I think he'd be a prime candidate, right little Fuhrer in the making, but like I said this guy is probably a saddo anyway so worry not.

Oh really?? One step at a time mate! Nods are bloody cheeky aren't they? :D Also, i've noticed it's quite amusing how quickly a new marine gets that 'old sweat' attitude!
