What about the Prison Service mate ???, if being a Prison Officer isnt good or hard enough try going for a Governors grade, you can come in now on APS do a year as an officer then time as a Principal Officer( 2 pips ), then a Governor, if your switched on you could go far in the service, my mate was an officer about 6 years ago and now in the Dep Governor at my nick, (2i/c ), you will still get the banter as we are mainly ex Army/Royal/RAF and Navy, worth a thought !!!.

cheers, will look into that. also looking at HM Customs.
i'm not especially gifted, far from it, just my experience of the army is of being mucked about loads and given conflicting information about what we are meant to be doing/where we are meant to be/what kit we need and it just builds up to p*** me off.

the brasso......welcome to the real world where life is like a piece of MFI funiture......looks good in the box but is missing shitloads of bits, all forces kit is the same mate so buy your own if you want the best
