In the early days of MF the majority of members were Royal Marines, as the Forum grew it was decided to have a private area basically for those of the same ilk. Membership by invitation.The Bunker.
The Retreat grew with the same idea basically for none Royal Marines.
Although various members could be found in both.
Both being areas away from the walters and schoolboy post.
Not to mention the political correctness attitude by some who could never get the joke, (banter).

I can only presume by their current visibility that Jay is seriously considering opening the hallowed areas back up, a great first step towards returning this once thriving forum back to it's former glory!
Now where's that sheep shagging medic...somebody is going to have to sweep out the Bunker and wash the cups up!

Thats a laugh, Doc couldn't turn a big letter "J" on a greased spindle without getting distracted by a wooly coat!

Just visited the SF section & rediscovered why it was such good value!

I just wish Jay would log in and give us some direction..I've been in every day for the past week and no "Beast"..come on Jay we can't get it back without you!
I'm willing to put the time and effort in to get people back but we need a wee bit of guidance fae the boss!

excuse the ignorance but is the 'bunker' an old boy network sort of thing or can anyone uninitiated in the sorcery 'get in'. sounds like familiar speil going on so would be a welcome bolt hole if invited. ;o)
