I'd have to agree with both arguments to a point. Now i'm at a unit I watch what I eat and take supplements etc. to try and maximise my gains/performance. However, when I was a nod my diet was pretty bluddy shocking, and I still managed to pass out. I wouldn't go to breakfast, but smash as much scran as possible at lunch and dinner and then occasionally go to niners, however, more often than not i'd have a sodding great bag of sweets from the NAAFI! I also didn't eat breakfast before any of the tests apart from the 30 miler, because I was just massively nervous and couldn't get anything down my neck apart from a sports drink.. And good quality scran at lympschwitz? Don't make me laugh, the stuff is bluddy atrocious! I think in training, it's all about scranning as much as possible as you just need the calories, but that's just my point of view, so feel free to disagree!

During my Cdo Training I ate ought that was put in front of me. Come the weekend I would drink ought put in front of me. What you need most of all to hack Cdo training is a Positive. Mental. Attitude.

Without it don't even bother to apply because you will fail.

don't get me wrong lads, i'm not saying you need to eat specific types of food. Whatever you eat is accpetable as long as his has the necessary nutritional value. I'm not saying leave the pie and chips out.

I'm pretty certain a lot of people here pay attention to their food. But there are so many training routines posted here without any mention of food. I used to work my arse off, and tried several different training methods and routines, but I was getting no where becasue I didn't know anything about nutrition. Now though I make sure I get the necessary carbs, calories, protein, fats, minerals, vitamens and liquids, and my training is all the more better for it.
