Just posted - but i was logged out so i have to re-do it.....
yeaaa, thats not annoying!
Andy, this is going to be brief once again on maintenace because im quite annoyed now that i just lost all i put!!!!!
Right! There are two key things you will need to remember on maintenance, these are:
1) Your Training.
2) Your diet.
Training: This will require you to train exactly the same as you have been doing before. With cardio you will need to make sure that you keep your heart rate at the same level as it is so you continue to remain fit and burn off calories! With your weight/resistance training you will also need to keep uo what you have been doing - in order to avoid boredom, change the exercises around, but please make sure that you are continuing to work at the same level but just with different exercises e.g. swapping swimming for cycling or rowing etc.
Diet: You will need to continue to consume exactly the same as you are, keep the caloire intake the same because you should be burning off what you had before. With you protien you will need to keep the same intake up, e.g. if you were consuming 250g of protien, keep the intake the same. This will help keep your muscles in check and keep them at the same level.
Sorry its brief but im officially p!issed off that i lost all of my other post!! ARGG!!
Alright mate, if you need anything else then thats not a problem - training, what to eat, what to do etc etc.
If anyone reading this is having trouble building muscle up, i will post later on how to build your muscles up fast!
Wicked.

Hey mate I have been thrashing myself at the gym. But been getting really wierd stomach cramps, pains and feeling uneasy running on the treadmill after about 10 mins, even after 2-3 hours of eating. I have been doing about 3-4 hours a day at the gym. Am I overdoing it or doing damage at all?
I really wana be ready for the PRMC.

I used to find myself getting similar symptoms. I changed my routie till the problems were aliviated and think that I had been working too hard from the off. I now start slow andwork up to max pace, this seemed to help. Of course it could be coincinidental but it did seem to help.

Nice one guys, yeah i havent had that for a while, but thats because i have been out of training for a long time now. If you're feeling sick its because of a drop in blood suger levels, thats what makes you throw up after youve been training hard (nasty stuff), but you get used to it eventually.
If your symptoms include dizzyness and just the general feeling of your legs feeling like their made of lead or jelly - then you're not far from throwing up
Chris is accurate, try what he has said and see if it makes a difference ok.
Im missing out on all this but i'll be back to into training in a month or two, then i'll be posting my training - just wait....

Awesome. Ill try that and maybe have a couple jelly beans before and during workouts.
Also one more thing? lol I had a protein shake at my gym cafe, which after enjoying 2x massive glasses of the coconut flavour found out it contained a huge amount of protein and I have been massively bloated and feeling like a lead balloon was in my stomach.
My god! what a night :S
trial and error!

Hahaha, yeah if that happens it will take a while for your gut to get used to the stuff, try just having one though instead. Some of the stuff i used to take -

as soon as i drank it, id be upstairs laying one, or should i say about 20!
Smells so bad hahaha
When you have your protien drinks, ask how much protien there is in each serving (or if you can get your hands on the packet or tub you can see for yourself). Depending on the size of your muscles, anything between 30-50g per serving is good!
Have you decided to purchase some supplements yourself Andy??

I was using Maximuscle Promax over the summer while I was back in Wales. Although it mixes tidily and doesn't taste too bad, I found that for me it wasn't too effective. I'm training for different reasons as to the majority of guys on here (I bodybuild), but I put on about 5KG over the time I took it although that could have been helped by the 5 weeks of drinking, kebabs and chinese takeaways.
Since getting back home (to lovely Tenerife) I've been on a totally random Spanish whey protein supplement that cost about half of the price as Promax did and I'm getting decent results. The internet has a wealth of information and reviews for different supplements, so I reccommend people to have a good google before you decide on purchasing anything.

Hahaha, learned the hard way! Ive never been a fan of Promax, ive always steerd clear of that crap. Maximuscle is stupidly priced when you can get something else that does the job just as good, cheaper. Promax only offers 25g of protien per serving! That is crap! Especially if you're looking to build muscle!
Rich being a bodybuilder i thought you would have known that??? Ideally you want something with 50g + of protien per drink if you can. Im sure you know that the quality of protien also counts. I only know this because i used to do bodybuilding type training myself and i made sure i got clued up on whats good, whats not.
Note, sure bodybuilding type training gets you bigger - but be warned! You loose flexibility and stamina! Your body strength will not keep up with your size, sure you'll get stronger but it doesnt reflect on your size, especially when it comes down to pull-ups and press-ups - i know this because ive seen it so many times myself!
I think 'sure you can bench press x amount, but i'll take you to skool on press-ups'. Not being big headed, thats just how ive seen it. A couple of my mates who i used to train with, they are now stronger than me when it comes to lifting weights becaue i stopped doing that type of training, but id still kill both of them on press-ups easily.
Remember though, bodybuilding isnt about strength, its just about gaining size.
However, i did gain alot from doing that type of training - it taught me about pain! And lots of it! I didnt know i could push myself as far as i could until i did this. The intense burning you get in your muscles from a drop set, pyramid or super-set is amazing! At first its weird but eventually you love it! You look forward to going to the gym to punish yourself, you learn to ignore the pain, but what pain comes through - you love it!
Im sure you'll agree with me on that one
Rich?
By the way, if anyone wants supplements, this is a website i have always used as its cheap and its got loads and loads on it! Enjoy!

I've personally never been one for taking supplements up until recently, mainly because I find it hard to get anything of good quality where I live. I'd read mixed reviews about Maximuscle online (more-so bad than good though) and while walking through my local JJB, a special offer caught my eye with discounted Promax and a free t-shirt a size too small for me. How could I refuse?
And agreed on the rest, AJtothemax. I can bench decently but my pressups are dire in comparison, as I can only do about 30 good form. I only ever do pressups when challenged, though.
Cheers,
Rich.

AJ,
Yeah I found out the stuff is called Proform or profit? something like that.
The silly girl at the gym cafe put too much in it. My body seemed to react pretty well to it. I have found my muscles are working alot nicer and my gf commented on my growing 6 pack and biceps lol
I dont know if you are ment to see changes over night but Instead of my muscles being tight and tired they seemed more formed and easier to work today!.
I am thinking of investing in a can of it.

I only ever do pressups when challenged, though.
Is that a challenge or sorts
Rich?
Andy, dont worry about her putting too much in on this occasion, only could have done you good in my view!
Haha, your gf should see me then!
Joking!!
Did you check out the wesbite i left in my other post? Thats where i get my stuff from, its a good website. When you say that your muscles are working alot nicer, is that like, they dont hurt as much anymore??? Or can you just work harder?? If so then there is probably a good amount of carbs in the drink as well.
If you're seeing results fast! Go for it! Just remember, dont be getting too big now ok because that will only have a negative effect on you on your PRMC!
That you definately dont want! Please make sure that you can still do you push-ups, pull-ups, sit-ups and running properly, if you're getting slowler then decrease the amount of protien your packing in because its my fear that your size will go up but your strength and stamina will not, please be careful of that
Andy.

Cool cool,
Yeah it feels like its so much easier to breath while doing circuits and power through pushups with ease. My muscles dont get tired or start to burn. I just know when im at my limit because ill just stop.
I have not lost or gained any weight since the start of my training. My upper body is getting bigger like pecks, arms and shoulders. My calfs are getting a bit more toned and a lil bigger. but my ab region seems to be getting leaner and leaner. I can see grouves.
So if i start to gain weight I should stop the protein and start getting back into cardio?

Thats because you're getting fitter and stronger
Andy. You said about your limits and stopping, thats ok for now but eventually you're going to have to break your 'limits' and learn how not to give up, im not saying that you are, just trying to make you realise its more mental strength than anything.
No, dont just stop the protien, all im saying is dont take too much of it otherwise you will grow quicker,
always keep your cardio up, always do that.
Remember, the fitter you are the longer you will be able to last with strength exercises. This is because your body is now able to delivery more oxygen in the blood to your muscles so you can work harder!
Keep up the good work mate, glad to hear that you're doing well.
Wait until its my turn....
