Doc, you were a valuable member of the mediking community (as well as one of the lesser-abled members of the community!) but please please do try and keep up to date with current terminology.
FIBUA went to OBUA and DIBUA and is now known as FISCH where FISCH stands for Fighting In Some C's House!!

PS The gloves were called NI Gloves by the troops cos you only got them (officially that is) when on tour over the water. The pad on top was to lessen the effects of poxy brick walls and things caning your hands when adopting fire positions etc.
The glove was withdrawn when it became apparent that the troops used them as boxing gloves when "controlling" members of the local populace.
