I spent years training to work as a technician in an engineering branch only to have my service characterised in the mind of civvies (and therefore those that interview us for jobs when we leave) as this sort of crap.
Is the MOD actually helping make this?
Calm down, calm down....It's only TV, I don't think I have ever met an employer that thought that is what the Army is about....
Besides that is exactly what the first 4 weeks are like, and it works

Point taken DelD, I have to agree it is a ratings thing and the it has no reflection on the modern military, I suppose because I'm ex Mob I assume that everyone see's it for what it is.......Entertainment!!
I also agree with English Rose, I want the 'Right arm' to turn up and see him put in the opposite section and see wjhat excuse for NOT letting 'his fist do the talking' he comes up with this week!!!

I pissed myself when I saw the chap run across the grass and one of the corporals ran and grabbed him. The recruit was so frightened that he was still running when the guy grabbed onto him and he then dragged the corporal about 10 ft.

I started a posting about this under Army general discussion. Sorry, I didn't see that this one was here first. That cocky c*nt brown told a story about how him and his brother beat up a passer-by. That shows what they're like, it takes 2 of the tw*ts to do 1 person. And he was probably younger than them. Growing up on a council estate I've met Brown and his twin a hundred times before. They're not worthy of licking real soldiers like nayoukas and murray's boots clean.

He'll be hard to break because if he gets shouted at too much, he'll run home to mummy.

I just watched the first episode, and thought it was good and funny.

That bloke called Brown, I can see him being the center of intention from now on.
I wouldn't call these Bad Lads, more like Naughty Lads, I mean you got a nude skateboarder, and a bloke who pretends he is disabled to rob razor blades, and skin products....... what a w@#k
I can't wait to see what the rest of these Bad Lads have done.

The D-day raw recruits programme was better. It did serve a purpose, it learnt people a bit about what the old lads went through who took part. That old show "soldiers to be" was good as well, as it was real recruits in actual training, not just muppets trying to get on TV

I missed the second episode. Is it repeated any time soon?
