and think yourself very lucky , we had to make bed packs !!

Come on Mercury, you know the RAF likes its tradition. You've still got to make bedpacks, and if its shite it gets chucked out of the window. My corporal missed the window with the bedpack, so chucked my pillow out instead and it was pissing with rain. Weird hows things like that are only funny when you look back on them :)

Ok, so far the list looks like this:

Trouser twists,
Zinc oxide tape,
Cheap waterproof digital watch with light,
Small torch,
Small locking knife,
Permanent marker,
Clothes hangers,
Iron & board.

Anyone got anything to add?

My brother's going to try and 'acquire' some of the above for me, and has also said he'll show me bedpacks next time we're home.
Many thanks to everyone who has contributed so far!

black kiwi
boot brushes
a housewife (needle, thread, safety pins etc)
loads of bun nets and kirbee grips for putting your hair up (its surprising how quickly you will go through them/lose them)
wooden coat hangers
dhobi dust (cos the NAAFI is well expensive)
pens
notebook
envelopes
your dhobi kit
yellow dusters (min of 4....one for dusting your room, one for wrapping your toes caps up in, and one for the bottom of each boot for walking across the floor after you've just bumped it  )
Thats all I can think of at the mo

Nearly forgot.................

if you are on the Pill, make sure you have plenty of them to take with you.
The Med Centre don't always carry the full range and won't neccesarily order your particular one in.

Aha...............now here I can help. Insertion of Doctor Prez's quick fit, low weight, low cost cardboard anti-insemination kit is free. The kit is free, but the anaesthetic is horrendously expensive, or......................Mangle and i can do it without the gas.
Choice is yours, comes in cardboard brown, and brown cardboard. I can get rid of Sainsbury's logo when I cut it out.
