Phil its not a high wire course, its a high ropes course to test your aptitude for heights. Your not harnessed in, all you do is crawl across a low rope, then climb up about 6 feet, walk across 2 planks with a small gap in the middle, climb up again and crawl across another rope.....
Easy really mate, even for me and i'm crap with heights!

yeah phil it isnt that bad but then I dont know what its like for peeps with height difficulties.. the thing is if you show that you are not confident they will make you do it again... So try to train yourself if possible... Because you dont want to look like a prick up there in full view of everyone.. We had a guy on our course they made him do the whole thing again infront of us... He sh!te himself but did it..

They take a new troop of recruits every two weeks not sure about Officers....
The press ups and sit ups are NOT NOT NOT NOT NOT done to bleeps, beeps, chants or any other signals....you get told when to start and when to finish:)
hope that helps..
cheers, dave

Just to clarify, the intakes are every 3 weeks not 2...
Every troop spends 3 weeks in foundation block so they have to have left before the next lot can come in. At the end of the first 3 weeks, you have an inspection and if you pass, you move out of foundation, if not you get back trooped into the up-and-coming intake.

thank god allah and any other god there is because i watched a video of the POC and they were doing press-ups etc to a bleeping sound, so i thought ill see how hard this is and i could only just about muster half of what i can normally do except the sit-ups because its a nice pace for them.
how many recruits start on each of these three weeks because i thought they only recruited around 1100 people a year.
anyway thanks for the info guys

Kwew, the press-ups and sit-ups in gym test 1 on the POC are done to bleeps according to my liason officer, however, I'm sure he mentioned the pullups are done to the PTI's commands. I think he said that the commands were "arms bend, arms stretch" and you just kept going untill you could not keep up. Can anyone else confirm?
