Ahoy there!
Yes, you are correct, Blaine was the man but I thought his first name was Rod or Rob.

Rob is right, it was Ken Blaine, when he was a GD CPL at DPROM, we called him the Gronk! Also remember him from 41 Cdo, he used to drive a green Volkswagon beetle, that he had cut the top off. Always new when he was coming, you could smell the afgas (??) a mile away. Is he still alive and kicking. He borrowed a book from me and I never got it back.

I last saw him 20 years ago. The book hadn't helped him, he still only knew two positions!

And, sadly, the Gazelle has gone the way of the A41, Overhead Projectors and Brown Bess. Take a tot.
Young driver tried to scare the shit out of me, sat in the front seat, with a demonstration of his contouring at top speed, round Jutenheim and Glittertinden.
Guess what?
He did :o

Maureen Corbett from Atlanta? You would'nt know a J.Green from Boston, would you. We had him on line here a week or so ago, could'nt get any sense out of him!
WORD OF WARNING, if you intend on hanging around here a while do not enter into any form of dialogue with ROB PARRY... he'll promise you the earth and then have you in some very compromising positions in no time at all....... :o

Hi Guys,

Its Maureen Corbett, (never did want to carry a gun, happy being support)!!! I was married to Sgt Bill Corbett.

I was a jenny at DPRORM, (Scotty Walker) so probably sent a lot of you guys to the units you definitely did not want to go to!! but I am sure you will forgive me for that. Knew Ken Blaine when he was the GD drafting cpl and met up with him again in Malta in 74. Went back to Malta in 77 and was there until the pull-out. Recognize a lot of the names in the guest book and in the discussion areas but can't put faces to them so haven't said to much.

Sorry Mike, Boston is a long way from Atlanta, and I haven't been that far north. Have been reading the threads for a couple of years now, but don't often log in. Did follow the discussions with the "National Guard" w@#k in Florida, but managed to bite my tongue and not send him a load of abuse!!

Most of the yanks I talk to haven't got a clue!! - and they mostly don't want to hear anything that isn't the party line.

My best wishes are with all the families left behind while the guys are off doing the yanks jobs for them!!

:D Maureen Corbett
