Yeah Roy was a good boxer too. I believe, if memory serves me right he defeated Finnegan, before Finnegan turned professional in the 70's.
Do you remember Smiler Harvey, (Boxing Coach) He was a Chef. A good one too. He stuttered a bit and if any one laughed at him (including officers', they got an uppercut from him." LOL.
Cheers

Timex,
I think you are a little confused and are referring to Ray Lavery who died of cancer in Arbroath in July. Ray was the same era as Smiler. Ray was a great bloke and Chef.

Timex. No worries mate. Obviously a case of mistaken identity.
Anyway: Back to the question I posed earlier!
Does anyone remember IMF. It stood for Initial Military Fitness and was, I believe, possibly an early form of aerobics.

PTI course passouts are good to watch like, all that club swinging and rope climbing!
They do that on purpose.
You have to be a Corporal first before you can apply to be a PTI.
They wear tight vests on purpose. That will be why they wear tight black trousers aswell.
To be honest, I dont think they really care if they look gay, they just wear what is easiest for the exercise they will be doing.
