From a cops perspective I think you are right up to a point, what you are suggesting is a step in the right direction, but I don't believe that's the total answer.

The article mentioned youths 15-16 years old. Where are their FATHERS? Where are the male authority figures in their lives? Until Dad is present for duty, and has the spine to act as an authority figure and not worry about whether or not his son likes him, then societies in many countries are in trouble.

If Fathers were involved with sons we wouldn't have school shootings in the U.S. ! Things like this could be headed off years prior by a little tough love.

Problem is, with kids of that age and type, most of their fathers are scum bags as well!! We all know the types, the ones who go into their kids school to threaten the teacher if he dares to raise his voice towards said gits little darlings.

Maybe if we started punishing the little tw*ts and rewarding the good kids, instead of paying the knobbers to go to school and sending them on holidays, then things might take a turn for the better.

RAF Reginald....Yoiu said a little tough love help stop troubles well may be it and may be it wouldn't..Now it is not just kids with bad parents that go of that rails, but it is right through society that it is happening. There are all these do gooders that want stop any form of physical punishment, but mental torture is still okay. When different governments are doing every thing in there power to make it more and more difficult for the parents to do there job they have nothing to moan about.

personaly, I'm sick of this stigma that us teens have slapped on us - I wear neither a baseball cap, burrberry or a tracksuit - my common garb is a real suit for my school wear and just regular jeans and so on on the weekend, I have no criminal record and have never thrown the first punch or javelin or whatever, yet I am seen in the same light as those that give my generation a bad name, like these cockbites - old people give me evil looks as though I calmly just shat all over the floor and they expect me to do so again at any second. Personaly, I think these bastards should be taken out and hung/shot/made to join the army, and in the case of rape, they should have their tackle ripped off with a chain tied to a wild horse

huh? what I'm saying is that I'm sick of being seen as a 'damn disrespectfull little idiot teenager' and threads like this only serve to encourage this sort of thing - what those fecktards did was disgusting, but from what I can gather from this thread and many, many others like it, we're all seen in the same light, and everyone here seems to be up for rounding up 'the young ones' and thrashing/killing them, indiscriminately - pesonaly I'm all for that FOR THE ONES THAT DESERVE IT, but according to some people here, apparantly all of us deserve it. All I'm asking for is some perspective here.
