Altbergs Altbergs Altbergs

Pound for pound the best boot i have had.

All the dog handlers at my place use them now and they are out in all weathers.

Myself, i now opt for the Gucci Nike AGC Combat Boot WHICH WOULD BE CRAP UP A MOUNTAIN BUT FOR MY LINE OF WORK NOW ARE THE DOGS.........Oops bloody caps lock...sorry!

That is also my question and in any case, arn't you supposed to wear what is issued to you.

It is after all a Uniform, as in uniformity.

I guess things have changed.

Commodore, Tab, of course things have changed, same as everything else in the world. There are hundreds of commercial companies competing with each other to make boots and other military kit that makes the soldier's life a bit more comfortable. Why shouldn't a soldier who is keen enough want to spend his money on a pair of boots or whatever that are going to be more comfortable and possible help prevent injury when tabbing etc? Obviously the issue boots are cheaply made, same as a lot of the issue kit.

Yeah, apart from most of them are issued anyway!!! Fine if you're in the army cadets but useless if you're in the army.

So how are you helping someone who's in the army by showing a site that sells mainly issue boots? Geta life and get back to your Combat and Survival ya gimp.

Mainly that's like less than 'all' right? What has my life got to do with you? Please maintain a civil approach towards me since i dislike people who haven't got the maturity to solve any issue without resulting in conflicting behaviour, if you have nothing to say it would be best for all if you said nothing at all.
