Sas intelligence or signals operative
Hi guys, I'm interested in the career of intelligence for the army, however as I progress I would want more of a challenge. So is there a way for someone in intelligence to join the sas without having to be a general trooper such as just transferring to Hereford altogether.

You will need to have a few years in the forces before joining this group and then you will need to pass a rather hard physical test to see if you can join.

However on the army site, it says for specail forces support group, you don't have to pass uksf or uksf(r) training or tests as long as you're class 3 in your trade.Tab wrote:You will need to have a few years in the forces before joining this group and then you will need to pass a rather hard physical test to see if you can join.

That's because SFSG isn't the SAS...
You can have peace.
Or you can have freedom.
Don't ever count on having both at once.

The SFSG is 1 Para and you still have to pass the tests to get in and be parachute trained
